Caratozzolo Development is an independent software studio in New Jersey, working on apps, developer tools, and whatever else is missing.
The work
Some are open source and some are commercial. All of them are released.
Application
Card games with friends and family at a moment's notice, without carrying a deck. One phone opens a table, everyone else joins with a four-letter code, and every hand stays in sync. Play War, Bull, Ride the Bus, Crazy Eights, or Go Fish, or Tri Peaks and Aces Up on your own. Free on iOS and Android.
Unofficial Python SDK · Open source
Disney's resort endpoints are publicly reachable but were never designed for third-party use, so nothing about them is documented. MouseTools is an unofficial, documented Python SDK that makes that data usable, published on PyPI.
Application
A fraternity alumni association tracked its members in spreadsheets. This directory, membership ledger, and outreach tool replaced them, and it has to work every year.
The studio
Every project starts with a gap.
A problem that needs solving, or an idea that depends on something that does not exist yet.
A project has to help people beyond the studio, through a store listing, a PyPI package, or a live URL.
Work that helps more people public than private gets an open source license. MouseTools started that way and still is.
Products are published under both open source and commercial licenses. Consulting is available on a limited basis, including government and public sector engagements.
